Data Freshness Thresholds

Status is determined by how long ago the most recent data point was returned by the CryptoQuant API. Thresholds depend on the time window of the endpoint.

Window OK (green) Pending (yellow) Error (red)
day ≤ 2 days 2 – 3 days > 3 days
hour ≤ 3 hours 3 – 6 hours > 6 hours
min 10min block ≤ 1 hour 1 – 3 hours > 3 hours

Status Types

OK
API returned data and the most recent data point is within the expected freshness window for its time resolution.
Pending
API returned data but the most recent data point is older than expected. The endpoint is responding and the latest data is pending.
Error
Either the API returned an HTTP error, returned empty data, timed out, or the data is significantly outdated (past the error threshold above).
Muted
Manually muted. The endpoint still runs on each refresh, but its status is overridden and it won't trigger Slack alerts.

Other Definitions

Time Since Update
How long ago the most recent data point's timestamp is relative to now. This is what determines OK / Pending / Error.
Latest Value
The first non-null row from the API response (up to 10 rows requested). Shows the first two key-value pairs of that data point.
Refresh Cycle
All endpoints are re-checked every 5 minutes in batches of 20. A full cycle takes ~90 seconds to complete.
Slack Alerts
Sent on state transitions (OK → Error, or Error → OK). One summary message per refresh. Re-alerts once every 24 hours for endpoints that remain in error. Pending endpoints and muted endpoints are excluded from alerts.
